HLG recognized for Excellence in Labour relations

HLG Contracting has been recognised for excellence in labour relations, securing a prestigious four-stars in the Taqdeer Award from the Government of Dubai.

HLG Contracting received the award from His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities during a ceremony held this week at World Trade Centre, Dubai.

Of the companies nominated for the award, only 9 secured the coveted four-star recognition, with HLG Contracting securing the achievement for the second consecutive year.

HLG Contracting Chief Executive Officer Moustafa Fahour OAM said: “Everything we do at HLG Contracting is possible because of our people, who play a vital role in our success. Their safety, welfare and wellbeing are fundamental to how we operate, so it is pleasing to be recognised for this achievement.”

As a four-star rated company, HLG Contracting will be given priority in government projects, providing the company with a competitive advantage.

The Government of Dubai’s Taqdeer Award is the world’s first points-based award programme aimed at setting international benchmarks in labour welfare and honouring excellence in labour relations for construction companies.

Participating companies provide examples of their best employment practices and use of global benchmarks including labour policies, facilities and infrastructure, health and safety, labour security, recruitment and wages, justice and transparency, communication and feedback, creativity and innovation, administration, labour perceptions and key performance indicators. Entrants are evaluated by an independent judging committee.
